Minnesota, here I come!

		I am here to serve you! Experience: I am licensed in Minnesota I have my own company for vacation rentals in the Detroit Lakes area Developed land and designed and built homes I grew up on a farm in Wisconsin. My family raised Aryshire milking cows and Herford beef cattle. I was a total tomboy and loved the life of the outdoor farm girl. I attended a one room school and walked there everyday until the end of 7th grade. We skied to school in the winter and played in the woods walking home. I grew to love all of nature and the out of doors through this upbringing. I begged for a horse until my father traded a steer for my first horse and handed me the halter at age 10. He did not like horses and I was on my own to ride with baler twine reins and no saddle for a year or two until I had enough money for a bridle and saddle. It was a wonderful learning experience and I learned to totally care for this horse on my own. I even built the stalls and fences for pasture. From that point, my 4-H leader gave me a bred Quarter horse mare that produced a filly that became one of three generations of horses that remained with me through my children's teen age years. I love animals and now volunteer at the Lakes Area Humane Society caring for homeless dogs and cats. My first college degree is in Physical Education and Health graduating from the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse. I married a Civil Engineer and began moving throughout the United States, living in Ohio, Washington D.C., Louisana and Minnestoa. During this time, twin sons arrived and in 1984, St. Paul Minnesota became home base. While in St. Paul I earned a Master's Degree in Adult Education for the University of Minnesota and began teaching Parent Education in the St. Paul Public Schools. I have interacted with thousands of families from around the globe as they arrive in the United States and are learning how the American education system works and how best to help their children succeed in life. I retired from teaching parenting in 2006. During my teaching career, running became a new challenge. Road racing, 5K-10K-and marathons and triathlons have kept me in shape and challenged. Road biking has also taken me on rides all over Wisconsin and Minnesota and offers me a peacefully way to see the lakes area around my current home on Big Cormorant Lake Minnesota. My son's Eric and Adam are avid outdoorsmen. They are professional mountains guides, working in Bozeman MT and Jackson Hole WY. As a family team we have summitted Mt. Rainer in Washington State and last year the Grand Teton in Jackson WY. In the winter months Eric is a Sr. Ski Patrol at Snowbird Resort in Alta Utah. Adam is the Ex. Director of the Alex Lowe Nepal Mounteering School. This foundation is based in Bozeman and takes professional mountain guides to Nepal each year to teach Sherpa's technical climbing skills. Winter now takes my husband Greg and I to a new adventure in Xcalak, Mexico. This is a remote area of Mexico near the border of Belize and MX. Our home there has oceanfront with excellent scuba diving and snorkeling right out the front door. The adventure includes living on solar power alone, storing all water in a cistern and driving three hours to the closest town. There we have truly pristine surroundings and unspoiled nature all around. Greg and I are able to help anyone looking for property in Costa Maya area of Mexico to find their dream lot or home.
